Product Spotlight - Reclaimed Barnwood Frames {Des Moines Family Photography}
We’ve made it to the first day of fall!
I’m not sure what it’s like in your part of the country, but here in Central Iowa the leaves are just starting to change a little. The trees are still mostly green but hints of color are starting to show. We’ll probably see peak color here in the next 2-3 weeks if I had to guess, but I found this cool interactive map on smokymountains.com where you can see when colors are expected to change week by week.
I just wrapped up a high school Senior session this weekend and we were able to find just a hint of autumn in the trees for a few of her shots. Excited to share images from that session with you all next month!
Today I wanted to share a little bit about one of my favorite products, the Reclaimed Barnwood Frame.
These are handcrafted by an incredible woodworker named Dave in Michigan and they are amazing. This is their Haywagon frame in a 16x20 and I absolutely love seeing this in our home every day. This frame works wonderfully for any mounted print, or in this case, a canvas mounted to Masonite.
These can be ordered with our without protective acrylic. My personal preference is to display framed pieces without acrylic to reduce distracting glare, but there are options for anti/reduced glare acrylic as well.
These barnwood frames range in size from 5x7 on up to 30x40, with custom sizes available. And with over 30 styles and finishes there is something for everyone.
If your home’s décor is more on the rustic side you will absolutely love these! Our house is not rustic but I still love this frame in our home and it fits in beautifully.
What is your favorite way to display photographs in your home? Do you prefer a more traditional look with framed prints or gallery wrapped canvases? Or do you like a more modern look with metal or acrylic prints? I’d love to hear…drop a comment below and let’s chat about it!
Until next time,
Wendy
